Gomez Appointed to Governor's Special Advisory Commission on Disability Policy
October 26, 2026
ALICIA GOMEZ, chief operations officer at Boston Senior Home Care, was appointed to the Governor's Special Advisory Commission on Disability Policy. A veteran of Lawrence General Hospital, Gomez started as a licensed clinical social worker and rose through the ranks to integrated care and transitional support services manager. She also was the director of population health management at Waltham-based Connance, where she helped create an analytical tool to identify social determinants of health. Gov. Maura Healey re-established the commission in 2025, with the aim of improving opportunities for individuals with disabilities, as well as their families and advocates, to give input on policy and program development. "Older adults and those with disabilities must be able to access a full range of programs and supports to live full lives and thrive at home and in their communities, and this Special Commission is a vehicle to give voice to those we serve by making it easier to engage and interact with services and supports that can help them," Gomez said.
