  • Chief Justice Carey is the 2004 Massachusetts Judges Conference recipient of the Probate and Family Court Judicial Excellence Award, the 2006 recipient of the Daniel J. Toomey Excellence in the Judiciary Award, and the 2009 Massachusetts Women Lawyers Distinguished Jurist Award, 2011 Recipient of the Boston Bar Association Citation of Judicial Excellence, 2011 Recipient Haskell Freedman Award Massachusetts Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, 2011 Recipient Middlesex Bar Association Distinguished Jurist Award, 2011 MCLE Scholar Mentor Award, 2013 Recipient of the Haskell Cohn Award for Distinguished Judicial Service and 2013 Dean’s Reception Honoree for honorable commitment to public service and dedication to the Law School and its students.
  • She has lectured and authored material for numerous educational programs in the area of domestic relations, both as a practitioner and as a judge, for MCLE, the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Boston Bar Association and Suffolk University Advanced Legal Studies. Judge Carey has also lectured at AFCC local and national programs as well as the National Child Support Enforcement Conference in 2007.
